Overhead underslung cranes

Underslung crane is a technological equipment designed to move cargo on the territory of a production site or warehouse. The structure of the underslung crane is a load-bearing I-beam fixed to the lower shelves of the crane track. Thanks to the lower mounting, the underslung cranes can serve the maximum possible area of the room, including the space along the walls. Therefore, they are considered universal production or storage equipment.

The undeniable advantages of underslung cranes include their low weight and compact size. However, they are designed for lifting and moving cargo of small weight, up to 16.0 tons, and for short distances, up to 24.0 meters. Within these spans, cranes can not be limited to working in one shop and serve an adjacent room, moving carts with a lifting mechanism through various openings. To increase the value of the maximum permissible span length, additional guides are used in the center of the crane span, on which an additional end trolley is placed. Then the underrunning crane becomes two-span.

Main characteristics of underslung cranes:

• It is used for lifting and moving any cargo weighing up to 16.0 tons
• It consist of a span made of an I-beam and 2 end beams, which, when equipped with an electric crane, are equipped with gear motors that drive the crane
• By default, the power supply is carried out by means of an electric cable or by other means
• The control is carried out by means of a cable remote control with an emergency stop button. Possible installation options: radio control, control from the cab to improve the convenience and safety of operation
• The mechanism for lifting and moving the load is a hoist (tal), which moves along the span of the crane. The load-handling body is a hook suspension suspended on a rope rope
• The design feature is that the underrunning crane is attached to the crane tracks from below. Columns are not required for placement, which frees up useful space in the room
• To increase the security and convenience of work, it is recommended to install additional options
• It is widely used in industrial enterprises to perform repair, loading and unloading operations and other purposes.
